Famous Rapper Criticized by V. Bryant for an ‘Insensitive’ Lyric

Kobe Bryant is a five-time NBA champion who played for the LA Lakers all through his career. He is noted to be one of the best players in the basketball game history. Unfortunately, on his way to a tournament in Thousand Oaks last year, the helicopter he was in crashed, leading to his death.

Vanessa Bryant criticized Meek Mill over a song that referred to her late husband. The song “Don’t Worry (RIP Kobe)” has the lyric that says, “If I ever lack, I’m goin’ out with my chopper, it be another Kobe.” Vanessa frowned at this as she addressed Meek Mill on Instagram, saying how that line was “extremely insensitive and disrespectful.”  She further stated how she was not really familiar with any of Mill’s music. Still, she believes he could have done better than what he did. She further expressed her distaste, saying that “If you are a fan, fine, there’s a better way to show your admiration for my husband. This lacks respect and tact.”

Meek Mill, in his defense, made clarifications after he tweeted claims that pointed to the fact that he sees what most could not see. He noted that he apologized to Vanessa in private and that his tweet wasn’t directed at Vanessa and her family. He also admonished the public to change the subject if they really cared about someone grieving.
