Walmart Apologizes About Twitter Incident

Walmart is a majorly known supermarket in the USA. Recently something strange happened when an employee from the company called the Missouri senator Josh Hawley a “sore loser” from the company’s official Twitter account. The post has now been deleted, but it did raise a few eyebrows.

The company later said that the tweet was mistakenly posted by a member of the social media team who had intended to publish it in their personal account. They also went ahead and apologized for their action and said that they would be careful from causing any error or confusion in the future.

Mr. Hawley was the first among many other senators who joined the Republican congressmen who were objecting to the certification and were voting on their objections. He did not step back from the fight and responded to the tweet by saying. –

“Thanks, @Walmart, for your insulting condescension…”

The very hashtag #BoycottWalmart was soon trending after the post. There were many conservatives who were accusing this mega-retailer of political bias.

It was rather a close call for Walmart, and they had to quickly apologize and delete the tweet to stop any further damages.
