Fans Of Michael Jackson Honor Their Icon On The 12Th Death Anniversary


It’s difficult to believe that Michael Jackson died 12 years ago. On Friday (June 25), fans paid tribute to the King of Pop on social media, with the hashtag #MichaelJackson trending in several countries.

According to social media posts, some fans even visited the outside of Jackson’s boyhood home in Gary, Indiana. People left messages, flowers, and mementos.

Fans also took to social media to share their memories, admiration, thoughts, and prayers for the music icon and his family. “Thank you so much, Michael Jackson. Thank you for blessing the world with your talent, grace, and magic. Thank you for using your music to make the world a better place, “One fan tweeted about it. Other fans contributed fan art, special video edits, and their favorite Jackson concert memories.

Jonathan Moffett, Jackson’s drummer for the past 30 years, also took to Twitter to pay tribute to his late friend. “I recall the last time you told me you loved me… On this date 12 years ago, on June 25, 2009, I miss you and will always love you, ” He post.

On June 25, 2009, Jackson died at his Los Angeles home, where he was discovered with a weak pulse and not breathing. He was taken to UCLA Medical Center and pronounced dead there. He was 50 years old.
His cause of death was later determined to be an overdose of Propofol, a drug used to treat his insomnia. Later, his doctor was charged with involuntary manslaughter.
